South Florida Food and Drink Events This Weekend: Half-Off Wine, Sushi and Stroll, and Brewery Launch Party

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens (4000 Morikami Park Rd., Delray Beach) will host their Sushi and Stroll event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Here, guests can explore the gardens while trying craft sake selections. Attendees can also enjoy taiko drum performances by Fushu Daiko at 6:30, 7:15, and 8 p.m. for an additional $2. Tickets range from $5 to $7. Visit

Tarpon Bend's 17th-Anniversary Party

Flagler Village Brewery Official Launch Party
Flagler Village Brewery (551 N. Federal Hwy. #600, Fort Lauderdale) will feature barrel-aged beer debuts and beers such as Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, Cedar-Aged Dankness Monster IPA, Ft. Lager Ale Pilsner, and more. There will also be a menu with items such as Kale Super Salad, hot dogs, and hamburger. The party starts at noon. Visit


Filipino-Puerto Rican Friendship Day

Free Hoffman’s Chocolates Factory Tours

Hoffman’s Chocolates (multiple locations) will host a Backpack Donation Drive for elementary school students in Broward and Palm Beach. Those who donate a new school backpack will receive two vouchers for free Hoffman’s Chocolates factory tours. Each tour is 15 minutes long and includes samplings as well as a firsthand look at how Hoffman’s Chocolates are created. The drive is through August 15. Visit

Olympic Cocktail Menu at American Social

American Social (721 E. Las Olas Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale) will raise its glasses to a new cocktail menu which includes five variations of the Caipirinha. Each variation represents one country (United States, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, and Spain) and costs $13. This starts August 5 and ends August 21. Visit

Pokémon Specials at Quarterdeck

Quarterdeck Restaurants (multiple locations) will serve Pokémon inspired drinks, such as the Oddish Pear Martini, Pikachu Punch, and Slowpoke Strawberry Lemonade. August iPic Specials
iPic Theaters (Mizner Park, 301 Plaza Real, Boca Raton) will feature the Pegu Club cocktail and the Ooey Gooey M&Ms Sweet Pizza during the entire month of August. The Pegu Club cocktail is comprised of Grand Marnier, New Amsterdam Gin, and lime. Ooey Gooey M&Ms Sweet Pizza is made of Nutella, pretzels, M&Ms, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate disks. Visit
