Movember Happy Hour
Facial hair is experiencing a renaissance not seen since the days of robber barons, but luckily these days it's often for a better cause. In this case, it’s to promote awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate or testicular cancer. Enjoy Movember USA happy hour at Funky Buddha Brewery (1201 NE 38th St., Oakland Park) from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Guests who donate $5 or more get a wristband for an extended $1-off-of-beer happy hour. Show up with or without your stache. Visit FunkyBuddhaBrewery.com.

Craft Beer Tasting and Growler Launch Party
From 7 to 9 p.m., Crown Wine & Spirits (1030 NE 15th Ave., Fort Lauderdale) is throwing a party for their Crown Growler Station. Guests will also be able to sample craft beer from all Florida-based Breweries with ten craft beer stations and over 40 beers. And if guests want more than just a sample, they will receive a 64-ounce growler with the purchase of a fill. Gourmet food is also available for pairings. Tickets at $15 and can be purchased at CrownWineAndSpirits.com.

Sixth Annual John Offerdahl’s Broward Health Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival

This event is from 1 to 4 p.m. One-hundred percent of event net proceeds will go towards Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation and its mission, “Feed the Needs of Kids in Crisis.” This will take place at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater (1806 NE Sixth St., Pompano Beach). The Whole Enchilada (8000 W Broward Blvd., Plantation) will be hosting their Halfway to Cinco de Mayo party from 6 to 9 p.m., allowing you to celebrate twice. Featured festivities include live music, margarita competition and drink specials such as $3 house margaritas, altos shots, Coronas and Corona Lights.
