The 17th-annual New Times' "Original" Beerfest, presented by Isle Casino, is setting up to be a truly epic local beer event, returning to Esplanade Park this year with more beer -- and more fun -- than ever before.
Beer brewers from all over the state and the country come to show local beer drinkers their stuff. Even local homebrewers (and maybe some aspiring professionals) can offer their beers to the suds-swilling public.
On Saturday, October 25, from 7 to 10 p.m., Fort Lauderdale will become a beer mecca for brew fans and aficionados when about 4,500 people come to gather and sample more than 100 of the world's best local and international beers.
Beers showcased include selections from Big Storm Brewing Co., Cigar City Brewing, Daddy Brews, Florida Avenue IPA, Funky Buddha, Inlet Brewing Co., Miami Brewing Co., Opus Ales, Organic Brewery, with additional breweries announced almost daily. South Florida's best homebrewers will also be on hand to offer samples of their innovative, small-batch creations.
In addition, South Florida's most exciting local bands will perform for your enjoyment, with performances by the Shane Duncan Band and Pandia.
