Himmarshee Public House, located at 201 SW Second St. in downtown Fort Lauderdale, recently released the restaurant's winter menu.

Cofounder Marc Falsetto and corporate chef Robbyns Martinez have designed a new, seasonally inspired winter menu that highlights modern takes on comfort foods while adding global influences across the board.

Many dishes also incorporate selections from the bar's vast array of craft beer, including Wynwood Brewery "Pops" porter-braised short ribs served with goat cheese, mashed potatoes, and fried onions; and Sprecher's Hard Root Beer glazed pork lollipop dish served with jalapeño cheddar grits.

Additional new items include a Southwestern Cobb salad with roasted corn, black beans, avocado, jack cheese, and tortilla strips tossed in a chipotle ranch dressing; bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo and goat cheese in a San Marzano tomato sauce; and 12-hour pulled-pork spring rolls with pimento cheese, served on a bed of coleslaw.

If the simple things in life are all you need, try the new grilled cheese bar featuring a grilled cheese sandwich that comes with your choice of four-year-aged cheddar, Fontina, and Havarti cheeses grilled on artisan white bread and served with tomato basil soup. Guests can also do a "create your own" sandwich by adding smoked bacon, farm-fresh eggs, pulled pork, and tomato. Then, deep-fry the whole thing if you feel the need (available upon request).

In addition to the new winter menu items, Himmarshee Public House has announced that it will be open Monday through Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Beginning December 6, the restaurant will also feature a special chef-driven brunch menu each Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Himmarshee Public House serves dinner beginning at 4 p.m. on the weekends and closes on Saturday at 4 a.m., and Sunday at midnight.
