It's never too early to party like it's Oktoberfest, and what's a Friday night without a little schnitzel and Schuhplattler? The American German Club of the Palm Beaches' Bavarian Night - Dinner Dance offers an escape from the tropics with costumed folk dancers and dishes that taste, look, and smell like something that would be served at a hunter's lodge deep in the Black Forest.
Headliners for the evening are German group D'Waidler Musi, with dancing and music throughout the evening. The hearty menu includes pork roast or fish, Bavarian dumplings, and red cabbage. The event is 5 to 11 p.m. Friday at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches, 5111 Lantana Road, Lake Worth. Admission is $25, and reservations are encouraged by calling 561-294-2429.
