South Florida March 2015 Restaurant Opening and Closings

Spring has sprung, and with it a fresh crop of new restaurants have opened their doors to the South Florida populace. Long-awaiting concepts like Kuro at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, and Warsaw Coffee Company in Fort Lauderdale. But we also lost a few familiars last month...

Spring has sprung, and with it a fresh crop of new restaurants has opened its doors to the South Florida populace. Some of them are long-awaited concepts, like Kuro at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood and Warsaw Coffee Co. in Fort Lauderdale.

But we also lost a few familiars last month. Favorites like the DBA/Cafe in Fort Lauderdale, which shuttered its doors recently after two years. And Bar Italia, which had been open only two months.

Meanwhile, we're still patiently awaiting a few new concepts set to open this year, including Big Time Restaurant Group's Louie Bossi's, Tap Co.'s Tap 42 in Boca Raton, and Bar Rita in Fort Lauderdale.
