New Times' annual food and wine event, Pairings, is all set to take place on September 15 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The massive victual session hooks up tasty offerings from some of the area's best restaurants with great wines, cocktails, and beers.

New additions this year include a beer garden and themed lounges (dessert lounge, etc.)

It's a gluttonous affair, to be sure. It's hard to try every single combo being offered, and some of the matchups are so perfect, you'll want to hit them again and again.

Just a few of the restaurants that have already signed up:

3030 Ocean
Cafe Vico

America's Backyard
Bistro 1001
Sea Level
Indus Indian Cuisine
Tarpon Bend
Sweeter Days
Hard Rock Cafe
Tap 42

Sponsors include:
Acqua Panna
San Pelligrino
Dine Out Lauderdale

Hey, that's a pretty good start. Can't wait to see the wine/beer list!

The event will run from 7 to 10 p.m. (VIP are opens at 6). General-admission

tickets cost $40 in advance, $50 at the door. (VIP is $75.)

Tickets can be purchased here, and our marketing department is already giving away a free pair. Click here and register to enter the drawing.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering South Florida with no paywalls.
